About Right Choice Living
We are a home care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission to deliver personal care in people's own homes. Our office is in Quinton, Birmingham, and we work across the West Midlands and Yorkshire.
Why we started
Right Choice Living was founded on nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the sector — time spent seeing what good care looks like on a Tuesday morning in someone's kitchen, and what it looks like when a rota is built for the provider's convenience instead of the person's routine.
We built this company to do the second thing differently: the same carers, times that suit the person, and enough of the visit left over to actually talk.
What person-centred actually means here
It is an overused phrase, so here is what we mean by it.
- We ask how someone likes their tea before we ask about their care needs
- We write the care plan with the person, not about them
- We tell you which carer is coming, and do not change it without asking
- If something is not working we would rather hear it in week one than after a year
Our values
- Person-centred care. Everyone is an individual with their own preferences, values and needs.
- Respect and dignity. Compassion and empathy in every interaction, including the undignified moments.
- Safety and reliability. Care that is consistently safe, well-coordinated, and turns up when we said it would.
- Empowerment. Supporting people to make their own choices and keep their independence wherever possible.
- Integrity. Honesty, transparency and accountability — including about what we cannot do.

Who comes to your door
Every carer we send is DBS-checked at enhanced level and reference-checked, and completes induction training before their first visit. We hold public liability and employers' liability insurance.
We have a written safeguarding policy and a complaints procedure — ask for either and we will send it the same day. As a CQC-registered provider we are required to notify CQC of safeguarding concerns, and we do.
Talk to us
No obligation, no sales visit. If you are arranging care for the first time and do not know what to ask, that is the normal place to start — just call.
